Austin Grimm Smith (lead vocals/guitar and songwriter)
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Austin developed a passion for music at an early age—first playing with a guitar at age 3. He plans on working every day to improve as a musician, and is motivated to relentlessly pursue a career in the music industry. Austin plays and sings in a reggae/rock/dub band in Nashville, Tennessee called Roots Of A Rebellion (ROAR), while he is studying music business in his junior year at Belmont University.

Colin Smith (drums/percussion)
Colin started taking drum lessons at age 10 from Jim Ryan, who still plays in the band Morgantown. Once he went off to college, he regretably stopped drumming for almost ten years until his brother Austin’s songwriting and guitar playing got him interested in music again.

Ryan Estabrook (lead guitar/backup vocals)
Ryan started playing guitar at the age of 13 and has played in several different groups around St. Louis. Ryan’s favorite music consists of The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Peter Frampton, and others. Ryan and Colin have been close friends since 7th grade.

Jared Fischer (bass guitar)
Jared Fischer has been a part of the St. Louis music scene since the early 2000’s with bands such as Augustine, Leaving Lincoln, and Hannover.  Leaving Lincoln were signed to an independent recording label in Minneapolis, Minnesota (Exec Records) before disbanding in 2006.  Jared set the 4-string down in 2007 to focus on an accounting career until coming out of retirement in 2010 to play bass with The Distance.  Jared plays with an Epiphone Explorer and a Fender P-Bass. He and Colin were coworkers at the CPA firm of Lopata, Flegel & Company LLP, which is how Jared got involved in the group.
